UMSA AGM 09′

The time of the year is here again! Imagine how fast time flies… That’s why they say time and tide waits for no man! Yes, UMSA’s Annual General Meeting 2009 is here and it will be held tomorrow in the Engineering Building of Auckland University. For members, this is the chance for you to choose who are the ones who are going to lead UMSA and define UMSA’s objectives for next year! You people out there get to also choose and vote for the ones whom you think are most suited for the job… So, make your decision wisely!

The following gives the details on the AGM:
Date: 3rd October 2009 (Saturday)
Time: 10:00 a.m. SHARP
Venue: Eng 1.401 (401.401) Auckland University
** To all candidates, please be there 15 minutes before the start time to finalise your nominations. Do take note also that in order to vote, you need to be a verified UMSA member, so please bring your UMSA membership card. Nominators are also required to attend the AGM in order for the nominations to be VALID.
The following are the rules and regulations for nominations and voting:
- You must attend the AGM to vote or to be elected.
- You must be an UMSA member to vote or to be elected.
- Each nominee must have a nominator and a seconder.
- You can nominate yourself but must have a seconder.
- An UMSA member can only be a nominator twice but can be a seconder for unlimited times.
- The nominator have to be present at the AGM in order for the nomination(s) to be valid.
- The nominee has to sign at the bottom right of the form as an acceptance of the nomination.
- Each nominee can only run for two different positions.
- In the case where a candidate wins both positions run for, the person can only occupy one role and must decide instantly.
- The tenure of the role is until the next AGM.
