Welcome to the official UMSA website. This website codenamed “v2.0″ has adopted the theme from WeGraphics which was customized by UMSA Creative Team to suit the content architecture of UMSA.

UMSA’s website has been through several transitions. In 2002, UMSA’s website first started under Tripod, a free web hosting site. In fact, if you do a search of us, you might still be able to find the site :-)  In 2005-2006, umsa.tk was built by the then committee and it was UMSA’s first functional website that went on for a few years before it was lost with the .tk service. In an effort to revive the website, a Flash version of the website was launched in 2007.

However, as UMSA’s online presence needs began to grow so is the need to develop a platform to make the website more user friendly while ensuring that succession to the next Web Officer would be much simpler without requiring prior HTML or coding knowledge.  As a result, UMSA finally transition to a blogging based platform and is named “simplicity is excellence” in 2008. This has continued to be the heart of UMSA’s website as it rolls out the v2.0 which takes advantage of the new WordPress version that was introduced to enable more powerful content management.
