Bersatu Games Otago 2011

Bersatu Games is about to start this 1st July 2011. This year’s Bersatu Games is being held in Dunedin, Otago and according to the Otago’s Malaysian Student Association (OMSA) ‘s website, Bersatu Games 2011 is well underway.

Bersatu Tryouts 1

The first three days of tryouts for Bersatu will be held in the next few weeks. A reminder that Bersatu Games 2011 will be held in Dunedin, Otago during the semester break from 1st July – 5th July 2011. For those who doesn’t know what is Bersatu Games, it is similar to a mini-olympic games where all Malaysian student clubs all around New Zealand come together in one city to compete in sports. The main aim of Bersatu Games is to encourage unity (as the name suggest) through sports. It is a great time to get to know other members of other club and to really bond through competitive sports.

Below are the tryout dates for badminton, basketball, futsal, volleyball, and netball:

Time: 9am – 12pm

Venue: Auckland Uni’s Rec Centre*

Notes: Please bring own shuttles

UMSA Social Sports

Give yourself a break, get moving and socialize! We are organizing social sports this Saturday. There will be two sports available – Volleyball and Basketball.

The details for social sports are as below:

Date: 12 March 2011 (Saturday)

Time: 10am – 1pm

Venue: Auckland University’s Rec Centre

*Note* – To enter the Rec Centre, you would need a current Rec Centre membership. Alternatively, one-off entry fee will be $10.

On another note, UMSA is recruiting players for Bersatu Games 2011 which will be held in Dunedin, Otago during the semester break, that is 1st – 5th July 2011. Yes, thats right. If you love to play sports and want to travel, try-outs for Bersatu will be held soon.
